Reading patents can be difficult, time consuming, and frustrating. This task is made much easier when you understand the anatomy of a patent, and use the appropriate reading methodology associated with your goals. For example, reading a patent in connection with a patentability assessment is much different that reading a patent in connection with a Freedom-to-Operate determination.
