Contract Fundamentals

A contract is a written or spoken agreement designed to be enforceable by law. So many people regularly sign contracts without knowing much about the details of what they're signing. Contracts are necessary and critical to the success of our products and our businesses.  Yet, too many business and technical professionals think of them as just legal documents, and not business documents that will define our business relationships down in precise detail for months and years to come.  We fail to understand and own each provision of the contracts we sign.  Why?  Because, ultimately, even some of the smartest business and technical leaders don’t understand the fundamentals of contracts.  They need to.  We all need to.  Success depends upon it.
