Antitrust

Antitrust laws.  Whether it’s the Sherman Act, the Clayton Act, or the FTC Act, if you’re doing business of any kind in the US, you need to understand the fundamentals.  Why? Well, competition is critical to us. It keeps prices down and quality up. Without competition, we’re at the mercy of monopolies; monopolies that can charge us whatever they want, treat us terribly, and bring us to our knees because they’re the only game in town. And while that’s a great reason to care about anti-trust training, it’s not the only reason. Another reason is because the consequences for violating anti-trust laws are frightening. Fines that can push you into financial ruin, and criminal penalties that can land you in prison.
