Secondment is when an employee is temporarily transferred to another job or to another company for the benefit of his or her employer. It’s common when two or more companies form a joint venture. The Secondment process can be confusing for employees. I mean, think about it. Who even knows what that word means. Imagine your company seconding you, transferring you to a joint venture company, without any clear understanding of where you fit. Who exactly employs you now?
